48 Hours 'Til Christmas - Stephany Tullis

“48 Hours to Christmas” by Stephany Tullis is a charming and thoughtful Christmas novella that captures the best of the season’s spirit.

The city of Smoothville recently had a mayoral election that led to a narrow win for Luke Evans, whose methods were far from kind-hearted. It left him feeling guilty and parts of the city unhappy and torn apart. The solution is a huge Christmas Extravaganza that requires the city to reunite and pull together. With the help of the deputy, the city manager and pastor Woody this could become a celebration of peace, hope and forgiveness, despite some problems along the way.
Tullis has written this story with great seasonal spirit, a true gift in my eyes, as she managed to instil me with it weeks before I usually get my Christmas head on. The book has excellent characters and dialogue that lays out the problems and their solutions.
It’s easy to get drawn into the city and its problems and feel the enthusiasm and resolve to overcome the past and celebrate and forgive.
Spiked with happiness and also deeper thoughts and reflective parts this is the perfect Christmas story, joyous and inspirational.
